Projected Photons

From one pumpkin to another!!!!!!! A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?" The coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin." God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.

He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."
This was passed on to me by another pumpkin. Now it's your turn to pass it to other pumpkins.

Anti-matter

I absolutely hate some people. Why can't they keep their hands to themselves? Or keep their hands off other's property. Today I realized when I was putting some things in the back of my car that my car magnet was missing. This is the third time it has happened. Why can't people let people support their loved ones the way they want to show support. If this means I have to place a hundred magnets on my car then I will. But I could probably find better things to spend my money on. Anyways, I will replace my I Love My Soldier magnet because I am not going to let these people get the best of me. I think i need to find a way to attach a zapper to the magnet so if anyone other than me touches it they are shocked!!!! HAHAHA FREE ELECTRONS!!!!!!

Protons Electrons Nucleons... all make up the fizicks phamily

This is my Mom and Dad and myself in July when I went home for a quick visit. They missed having me around. It was the first time home in more than 6 months... close to 7. I guess they figured unless they made some changes I wouldn't be coming home. We are all learning at once about me growing up and spreading my wings and taking flight. Makes it difficult for dads to let go when you are the girl, and the baby. I love them both dearly, and enjoy spending time with them. My mom is the one who taught me how to knit and crochet and quilt and sew and all that fun stuff. Needless to say, I am the one who taught her how to do needle point - counted cross stitch. And I am working on getting her involved in scrapbooking. I love to scrapbook, I just need to find more time to or the energy to get myself motivated. It is so slow going that it is hard for me to always be motivated.
This is my niece Neva (short for Geneva) and her dad (my brother) Tim. Neva has a nickname NevaDeva because she is miss princess and owns the world!! At three, she is about to conquer the world. Amazing and bright. She is known to get in trouble but be the sweet little angle while doing it. On her little brother's first birthday, her grandma (not my mom) found her in the kitchen eating the sweedish fish off of her brother's little birthday cake. Grandma quickly asked her what she was doing. Her reply "Paulie only want two fish. He told me only wanted two fish!" She had quickly counted the fish so she could speak with a great reply so not to get into trouble. Told you she was smart!

This is lil Ellie (my birthday buddy). She was born on my 21st birthday. She is sitting with her mother. I love ellie to death. She is smart, and quiet. Pain in the butt sometimes. Hornery and stuborn. Man, she reminds me of... well ... ME! She is fearless. She climbs the ladder in my parent's library room, all the way to the top and turns around and tried to jump off... thank goodness Papa Chuck was there to catch her. Sorry, I couldn't get the picture to turn around so you will have to adjust your head to see her!

This is Paulie, on my back. Yes this was a great day at the pool. I enjoyed my time with the little ones since I don't get to see them too often anymore. I miss watching them grow up. I will be knitting and then felting little boots for all of them for christmas this year. Well they are more like slippers, but so adorable. I can't wait to do more! I just need to get the hang of the felting part!
Oh and please ignore the terribly white girl in that wild suit laying on the ground. She had been working in an office all summer! Geeze I wish that I still had the time to swim and play in the sun during the summer. I miss those days. Now I look so terribly white it ends up being a bit of an embarasment. Hey you see those purple shoes! THEY ARE AWSOME!!!! I LOVE MY CROCS!!! I would reccomend everyone get a pair. Probably one of the most comfy pairs of shoes I have ever owned.

A Mixture of Wine Particles and Knitting

Last night I tried teaching a friend how to knit. Let me tell you, when your friend is petite, and has a low tollerance for alcohol, I would suggest trying to teach them before they either start or finish their glass of Duck Pond Pinot Gris. She actually asked me how you threaded the needle! I tried so hard not to laugh but I could not hold it in. "Honey, I hate to break it to you, but you don't thread a knitting needle..." "Oh, WAIT, thats right... remind me never to do this again while drinking!!!!" After about an hour, she was getting it. I had to teach her both the American way of knitting (which fits my style/hands better), and she struggled with that, and then also the Conventional English style, which I know but it isn't comfortable with me. That was the one that worked best for her, so I am happy that I knew both ways. She droped a few stitches, so we decided that she would get better before we started the "REAL FINAL PROJECT" for her grandmother's birthday. She is a quick learner, just not when there is wine involved!

I will try and post a picture of her, but I forgot it at home today. Not much to do today at work, so I am catching up on my blogging! Plenty to tell, and I have pictures to post of my family.

Sine of Sacrifice

Hey all,
How is everyone doing?
Well here is new knews for me. I was looking through our virtual Family Readiness Group website. Toby never shows up in the pictures, so I was not expecting to see this picture seen to the right here on the site. At first, I had bad visual quality of the picture on my work computer and couldn't believe my eyes, so I waited to get home to get too freaked out. Well low and behold, I get home, check out the pictures again, and it is him. I even had to make sure by looking at his name tape... all you can see is ISAA... so all i couldn't see was CS. BINGO IT IS HIM!!! (I knew it from the first time I saw the picture) But I couldn't believe that he would not tell me that he was receiving the Purple Heart!!!! That is a pretty damn big thing. Well the only reason a soldier receives a Purple Heart is if they are injured in combat, or are killed in combat. Well I can see that he is surely still alive since he is wearing his purple heart, and was standing to receive it. But why wouldn't he tell me?!?!?!?! So this man has some explaining to do when I talk to him next. Anyways, this is the most current picture of Toby, since the awards ceremony was on September 30th. I am so very proud of him. And he is DAMN good looking... I can't wait until Rest and Relaxation to be able to see him in person again for the first time in 9 mo. only 9 more weeks to go until I get to see him again. He is the love of my life.
